Communications Associate - USA

• Inform OMS constituents about what God is doing around the world through our missionaries and ministries and inspire them to respond to the ongoing needs of OMS and those we desire to reach.
• Unify OMS through digital and print communications, including personalized letters, prayer guides, magazines, annual reports, brochures, blog posts, social media posts, and other materials. Strive to make each communications piece have a unified look and feel that is consistent with the organization’s key messaging goals and branding standards.
• Assist in editing and producing OMS Outreach magazine, which is published three times per year.
• Assist in editing and producing the annual OMS Global Impact Report.
• Assist in updating and producing the general OMS organizational brochure and other brochures and "tear sheets" to explain about OMS and the various ministries and projects that are constantly evolving.
• Review and edit other publications as needed, such as prayer letters, prayer guides, receipt letters, and missions-related books.
• Track the inventory of OMS missions-related books and coordinate, ship, and track OMS missions-related book sales.
• Read and edit various OMS organizational and departmental policies and guidelines.
• Develop, write, edit, and update missionary profiles, website blog posts, video scripts, social media posts, email promotions, direct mail letters, news stories, media releases, memorials, and tributes.
• Develop and suggest ideas for improving the digital presence of OMS within various social media platforms and other media channels, such as webinars, podcasts, and e-books.
• Work frequently with the Marketing Associate to understand, track, and improve the digital presence of OMS using various software platforms.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on schedule.
• Learn the front- and back-end processes of the OMS website and become proficient in updating, posting, and designing content.
• Participate in training to learn various aspects of using software, such as BambooHR, Certify, and Site Stacker.

Skills and Education

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc, BA) in Journalism, Media, Communications, or related disciplines with master’s degree preferred. Advanced study in areas of ministry or theology considered helpful but not required.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with website content management and web editing.
• Experience in designing and posting content to website platforms like WIX, Squarespace, Word Press, etc., and able to learn new software.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and website design principles.
• Experience with posting content on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and other common social media platforms.
• Experience using software for digital design, video, images, and artwork, such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud, including Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premier.

Other Details

• This position is fully paid by One Mission Society and does not require raising financial support.
• Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000
