Brent and Kim Burdick

Brent and Kim Burdick served with One Mission Society in the Philippines for 20 years. They were involved in field leadership and church development. Brent served as the field leader for the OMS ministry in the Philippines from 2000–2011. He served as president of the OMS-related Faith Evangelical Church of the Philippines (FECP) and was also the senior pastor of Faith Fellowship Ministry Center, a congregation of more than 1,500 in Manila. He is past president and chairman of the board of Faith Bible College, the OMS-related pastoral training institution in the Philippines. He currently is seconded by OMS to the Center for Intercultural Training (CIT) in North Carolina, serving as executive director. He is also the director of the Lausanne Movement’s Global Classroom Project and serves as adjunct faculty in missions at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC.

Kim helped lead and develop various ministries in Filipino churches, such as discipleship, counseling, women’s ministries, and people in crisis. She coordinated the National Women’s Congress for FECP and was the coordinator of the FECP 20th Anniversary committee. Kim served on the leadership team of OMS’ Dynamic Women in Missions from 2011–2014, taking teams of women on short-term trips to various OMS fields. She is currently the LifeGroups Coordinator and directs the women’s ministry at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Burdicks have four children: Drew, 29, who is married to Jordyn. Drew and Jordyn live in Charlotte, North Carolina, and have two children, Amelie, 3, and Mathis, 7 months; Dawson is 27, lives in Charlotte and works as the media technician at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary; Devri is 24 and lives in Anderson, South Carolina. She teaches preschool children with disabilities in the Anderson school district; and Danya, 21, is a junior at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina, studying elementary education. Brent and Kim live in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Brent graduated in 2011 with a doctor of ministry degree in the Beeson International Leader program at Asbury Theological Seminary. He also holds a master of arts in religion degree with an emphasis in world missions and evangelism from Asbury Seminary. Kim earned a B.S. degree in nutrition and dietetics at the University of Oklahoma.
