    Church Development Coach

    In many countries, the need for churches and worshipping groups far exceeds the number of available churches and trained pastors. One Mission Society utilizes a discipleship tool called Train and Multiply (T&M) to equip pastors and lay leaders to plant and multiply worshipping groups and disciples. In this role, you'll encourage, coach, and assist local pastors as they equip lay leaders in church multiplication. You'll help grow the number of pastors and churches engaged in outreach, discipleship, and church planting, as well as model equipping and releasing lay people for ministry so that a growing number of individuals can know and follow Christ.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Visit individual pastors for evaluating, coaching and encouragement
    • Build a good relationship with and working alongside the national church area leader
    • Assist in training events for pastors and lay people, especially in T&M training
    • Raise up prayer support for the area and people groups in the region
    • Empower trainers to achieve their church multiplication goals
    • Work alongside other mission personnel involved in this ministry

    Success in this role is defined by:

    Seminary Professor

    Train young Brazilian men and women for pastoral ministry within the church, in missions, and for lay responsibilities. Courses sought include Old Testament, New Testament, Discipleship, Cultural Studies on Post Modernity, or Counseling.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise and facilitate students' learning
    • Develop practical projects related to the course
    • Possibility of recording classes in a video format for online courses
    • Offer lectures to the community, one or two nights, about specific themes

    Ministry and Outreach Apprentice

    Serve alongside a long-term missionary family and a healthy Brazilian church to share the Gospel and disciple new believers. This church is passionate about outreach and serves in a largely unchurched, middle-class community. The church also has a goal to start an English service and English ministries program to engage new individuals. Primary ministries will include helping with church English ministries and services and local outreach opportunities to orphans or the elderly. Other opportunities in children's ministry, sports, music, arts and crafts, or media may be available depending on your gifts and interests. Engage in language learning and be mentored by missionaries and local pastors in church planting to discern whether God is leading you to plant a new church alongside a Brazilian team.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Use area of personal interest (music, sports, art, computers, etc.) as a way to create relationships with people who don't yet know Jesus

    Ministry and Outreach Intern

This church is passionate about outreach and serves in a largely unchurched, middle-class community.     As you serve in Brazil, you'll be mentored and discipled as you engage a new ministry context. You'll also have an opportunity to engage in language learning.

    Facilitate the planting of new churches across Ecuador to support evangelism and discipleship so that people can unite to worship and mature in faith. Successfully develop a self-sustainable, reproducing body of believers in areas that have been under-reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    ESL Intern (critical need)

    Transform lives in Hungary as you help lead weekly ESL classes for children and youth. You'll work directly with students and serve alongside the OMS Hungary team, where you'll be mentored and discipled as you experience missions. Design and implement lesson plans and materials based students' needs and best practices in ESL. You'll be involved in other team ministries and activities, including planning for summer English camps.     Special Education Instructional Assistant

    Provide specialized support for a high-functioning autistic student so that he is able to be part of a normal educational environment at an English-speaking missionary school. Participate in classes with this student during the day as you creatively make the curriculum accessible and help him complete assignments. Assist with other functions throughout the day, including transitions between classes. As an instructional assistant, you’ll have a huge impact on this student and enable his parents to increase their ministry effectiveness in Hungary.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide assistance in completing teacher-directed activities. Work to tutor, reinforce, and/or follow-up learning activities and model appropriate skills and behaviors
    • Modify activities, assignments and/or materials as needed, under the direction of the teacher or therapist.
    • Collaborate with faculty in order to promote understanding of the student’s needs. Attend faculty meetings and other school events as required.
    • Communicate with parents about homework, upcoming projects, socialization issues, etc. as applicable.
    • Encourage the development of independence while maintaining constant supervision.
    • Help with relating to other students.

    Leadership Development and Pastoral Care

    Pastors and other leaders are often overworked and stressed, and they often lack someone to talk with confidentially. Pastoral care is vital to the health of these individuals and the churches and ministries they lead. Fill this critical need by exhorting and encouraging pastors and other church leaders in Mexico. Provide missionary care and support, mentoring, discipling, and prayer to see individuals and ministries flourish. Foster community by serving as a bridge between One Mission Society and partner churches.

    Essential Duties

    • Schedule visitation rotations with regular office hours
    • Call, encourage, and visit pastors on a regular basis
    • Disciple and mentor pastors and church leaders
    • Host regular Bible studies
    • Collect appropriate prayer requests that can be shared with teammates and field supporters

    Treasurer

    Oversee the financial operations of One Mission Society in Mozambique by understanding and implementing mission policies and procedures with regard to finance.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Oversee the work of employed staff in the business offices.
    • Provide advice and assistance with regard to data entry and reporting.
    • Ensure all accounts are up-to-date, data is entered, and banks and cash boxes are balanced. Do the data entries if employees staff are not available.

    Physical Therapist

    Helping Hands Compassionate Outreach exists to mobilize and equip the church to creatively communicate the Gospel to individuals living with disabilities and their families. We are seeking qualified physical therapists to join our team to help meet some of the physical needs of those we are ministering to and also to be involved in training of volunteers and staff within the ministry. There is a real need for skills in physical therapy here in Mozambique since many people have limited access to such services.

    Helping Hands takes a holistic approach to expressing God’s love to those living with a disability and their families. We're looking for people with a passion to use their practical skills alongside being prepared to share the Gospel, reaching out to communities in Word and deed.

    We are planning to have a dedicated outreach center for those living with disabilities which could include treatment rooms. We would love to explore the possibility of hiring Mozambican physical therapists to work in this center. However since the training of physical therapists in Mozambique is very new, we would love to see experienced physical therapists working alongside these staff members to provide additional training and professional development.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Conduct home visits for those living with a disability, including physical therapy assessments and treatments
    • Help the team distribute wheelchairs, walking aids, and crutches where possible.

    Academic Director - Christian Academy in Mozambique

    Christian Academy in Mozambique (CAM) exists to provide high-quality education in a Christian environment that equips each student spiritually, intellectually, socially and physically to be effective ambassadors for Christ and effective servants in society. The school serves missionary, international, and Mozambican families. CAM’s core values are to develop Christian character, critical thinking, and global citizenship among its students. Leadership and faculty are expected to exhibit these same values and effectively transmit them to our students.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Direct and shape the curricula and teaching processes. Mentor our African and International teachers, work with the school director to recruit new staff members, and move the school into a new accreditation phase.
    • Lead educational committees and the accreditation committee to gain compliance with the required standards of education.
    • Work with faculty to select textbooks and other educational materials and manage the purchase of supplies. Responsible for the research and design of educational materials and instructional methods to meet our core values.
    • Provide and/or arrange for appropriate professional development throughout the school year.
    • Observe teachers in the classrooms and complete evaluations regularly. Give feedback and review professional instructional plans.     • Home visits to those living with a disability. These visits could include assessments of abilities and needs, one-one work with individuals and helping advise parents on learning activities they can be using in the home setting. We work with people who cover a very wide spectrum of disabilities.
    • Training volunteers in educational activities to utilize during in-home visits
    • In the future, we are hoping to have a dedicated outreach centre for those living with disabilities. We would love this to include classrooms for those children unable to receive education in the schools here. We would love an experienced special education teacher to oversee these classrooms and train up Mozambican teachers in this specialty.

    Wheelchair Technician

    Helping Hands Compassionate Outreach exists to mobilize and equip the church to creatively communicate the Gospel to individuals living with disabilities and their families. We do this through practical means, such as providing wheelchairs and walking aids, and also by visiting families to encourage and share God’s word with them. We currently have three Mozambicans employed in our workshop, where they repair, make adjustments to and assemble various types of wheelchairs to be distributed to those in need. We are seeking someone with practical skills to be involved in overseeing this work in the workshop and to help the team to continue to pursue new ideas and new solutions in this area.

Conduct HOPE61 training and follow-up so that local believers are equipped to engage vulnerable people in their communities and reduce their vulnerability to becoming involved in trafficking. HOPE61 focuses on preventing trafficking through culturally-appropriate methods of intentional evangelism and continuing discipleship. HOPE61 trainers work alongside local church denominations and other partners around the world.

    Opportunities include countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. This role does not require relocating but involves traveling 1-4 times per year to conduct trainings and follow up.

    Essential Duties

    • Visit assigned ministry field two to four times per year to accomplish the assigned responsibilities

    Adventures in English Language Guide - Summer 2020

    Serve as an English Language Guide in South Korea in July of 2020. Adventures in English (AIE) is a two-week intensive English camp that primarily serves Korean seminary students and pastors, as well as young adults. Guide students in English through worship, outreach, Bible study, and cultural understanding. Build cross-cultural friendships with Korean Christians as you help them grow in their English ability. A week of orientation is included in this opportunity to learn about Korean culture and how to teach English to Korean students. An optional week involves teaching English to refugees in South Korea.

    Use English ministries in combination with evangelism and discipleship so that young adults in Ukraine are transformed by a personal relationship with Christ. Disciple young adults in their walk with Christ through life groups and other relational opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    • Help organize, plan, and lead weekly English clubs at two universities in Kyiv, including facilitating effective, biblically-based discussions in English.

    Associate Director for Church Multiplication
