James Oldham

James and Nell Oldham have been missionaries with One Mission Society since 1979, serving at the international headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana, and in Hong Kong, South Korea, the Northwest region and the Southwest region. During their ministry at OMS headquarters, James was chief accountant and Nell worked as a receptionist, part-time in the accounting department and as director of English ministries in the Greenwood area.

Due to health issues, they can no longer travel to foreign mission fields. But the Lord has graciously brought the mission field to the Oldhams' front door as they have the opportunity to minister to Chinese students who attend the University of California San Diego. They meet with students each Friday evening for a delicious home-cooked meal and fellowship. After the meal, they have an hour of Bible study. It is a blessed and rewarding experience as the students are introduced to the Bible and the birth of Jesus. These students and their families have never experienced and do not understand the concept of worship. They have never been involved in any religion. As James and Nell plant the seed and generously water it, pray that the Holy Spirit will work in the lives of these students and that they will accept Christ so they will join together on that Glorious Day.

The Oldhams have four grown children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

One Mission Society is an evangelical, interdenominational faith mission that makes disciples of Jesus Christ through intentional evangelism, planting churches and training national leaders in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America. OMS then joins with those churches in global partnerships to reach the rest of the world.
