David and Marilyn Graffenberger

David and Marilyn Graffenberger have been missionaries with One Mission Society since 1963, serving first in Haiti where they began a vocational Bible school (now seminary) in 1967. In 1979, they joined the homeland staff at OMS World Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana. David coordinated overseas operations as director and vice president of Field Ministries (now International Ministries). Marilyn served in the Field Ministries office and then as assistant treasurer.

From 1988 until 2004, David, assisted by Marilyn, was the international director of Every Community for Christ (ECC), the church multiplication catalyst of OMS. ECC assigned small teams of two to six men or women to a specific area or group of people in their own country. The goal of each team was to lead people to Christ, establish them in their Christian faith, and organize them into local congregations. This strategy was changed in 2003 to a church multiplication strategy. This greater emphasis on New Testament patterns of discipleship, leadership training, and church structures requires vision casting and the training of workers at every level in church multiplication principles and practices.

From 1993 to 1998, David and Marilyn also gave leadership to the OMS CoMission teams of missionaries in Russia, Estonia, and Eastern Europe. David was field leader in Russia from 1998 to 2000. Marilyn was the OMS Russia field treasurer from 1993 to 2001.

Since 2009, the Graffenbergers have spent extended periods of time assisting the Haiti field leadership. David also serves as the Haiti church multiplication facilitator for ECC, mentors young men, and assists in community development and farming projects in northern Haiti. Marilyn serves visitors in their home and assists David where needed.

David serves on the board of the Moscow Evangelical Christian Seminary (Russia) and is also the chairman of the board of Mercy Incorporated, a humanitarian foundation related to One Mission Society.

When not in Haiti, the Graffenbergers make their home near Albany, Oregon. Their son Brian and his wife Susie farm in Oregon and are also involved in agriculture development in Haiti, where Brian grew up. Brian and Susie have two married children living nearby. Levi works with his father, and Kirsti is a registered dietician.
