Will and Julia Dickerson

Will began his service with One Mission Society in Hungary in 1993. He married Julia in June 2017. Their main thrust of evangelism is through teaching English in Hungarian schools and English clubs.

Will has taught English at Szent László Gimnázium in Budapest since his arrival there in September 1993, and he was heavily involved in the summer English camp ministry for more than 20 years. He also teaches church history and other subjects at the Budapest campus of European Nazarene College, which is one of OMS’ partners in Hungary. In the past, Will has served as the OMS team leader in Hungary, and he has been an active member in the Budapest congregation that OMS supports.

In 1992, Will received a Ph.D. in medieval history from Cornell University, where he had earlier earned B.A. and M.A. degrees. He also led two mission congregations in upstate New York after receiving his M.Div. degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1983. In 2015, Will earned an M.Ed. in English as a second language (ESL) from Károli Gáspár University in Budapest.

Will has two adult children, Abby and Will.

Julia is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and comes to OMS after a long career in nursing. Initially, she is focusing on language study, getting to know people, and building relationships.

Julia also has two adult children, Charles and Stephanie.
