Sandy Newcomer

Sandy Newcomer feels blessed to serve at OMS World Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana. She works with Men for Missions (MFM) as an administrative assistant to both the U.S. and international office. Some areas of service include helping with special events and meetings, MFM communications, and assisting in sending short-term mission trips to OMS fields. Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through this ministry is a source of great joy for her.

Sandy grew up in a supportive Christian home and church and now attends Mount Auburn United Methodist Church in Greenwood, Indiana, with her husband Jim. She has helped with several ministries in the church and especially enjoys facilitating women’s Bible study groups, helping lead a prayer shawl ministry, and being involved in the shepherding programs. Sandy and Jim have three grown children, Jamie, Missy, and Stephen, and have been blessed with two grandchildren. Sandy graduated from Indiana University with a degree in dental hygiene and worked in that field for 20 years. Before closing their family-owned lumber business, she worked alongside her husband in marketing and assisted in many areas of their company.

Jim also graduated from Indiana University with a business degree. He was president of their four-generation family lumber business for many years. He continues to work in the building and construction industry. Jim supports Sandy in all areas of her mission calling in her work with MFM.

Sandy has felt God leading her into missions and loves working in the Great Commission. She prays that God will continue to bless, equip, and guide her path in her role in missions.
