Nicole Acevedo has been accepted as a One Mission Society (OMS) missionary and will serve as a regional network representative for Dynamic Women in Missions (DWIM), a ministry of OMS.
Having felt a strong call to the mission field at the age of 9, Nicole began her role in the Great Commission. She went to India at the age of 12, and that same summer she visited Costa Rica and Nicaragua with her youth group. Due to the strong passion in her heart for Hispanic nations, Nicole spent her first year of college abroad, studying at Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina. There, she met her husband Jorge, who is from Paraguay, and became fluent in Spanish. She went on to study at Moody Bible Institute, where she graduated with a degree in missions (evangelism/discipleship).
The Acevedos are actively involved in their church, where they work with the youth and young adults.
As a regional network representative for DWIM, Nicole will develop partnerships and relationships with local pastors and ministries, as well as through day-to-day interactions, to help engage women in the Great Commission, both here in the United States and cross-culturally. Nicole’s prayer is that the Lord will use her in OMS to make dynamic relationships that compel women to participate in evangelism so that, together, they can make disciples who live out the Great Commission.
