The Into Africa Project was launched in June 2001 as part of One Mission Society's Centennial Celebration to intensify our church planting initiatives on the African continent. The Village Church Planting (VCP) program was initiated as part of this project in January 2003, with the aim of establishing a viable Christian witness in unreached areas of rural Africa. As of May 2010, the outreach has facilitated the planting of 7,000 new churches that serve 480,000 members. We currently plant an average of 4.8 churches and add 442 new members per day.
