A Message From the President

One Mission Society One Lord. One Life. One Calling. On behalf of the One Mission Society family, thank you for visiting our new website. We hope you enjoy the new look and feel and find what you’re looking for as you browse through the various pages. As you’ll notice, OMS International is now One Mission Society. The inspiration for the new name and tagline comes from Ephesians 4:4-6, which instructs us how to live a life worth living. Perhaps the question of how to invest your life will occur to you as you read through our website. If so, allow me to help answer that question using Ephesians 4 as our backdrop. One Lord. That's easy to say, but it’s difficult to live. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, the attempt was to cause him to compromise on his single-hearted devotion to the Father. Jesus would have nothing to do with that. Still, today, the world in which we live tempts us to divide our loyalty between Jesus and other outwardly important things. We all know how easy it is to yield to this appeal. But One Mission Society tradition has been that, by God’s grace, we can be a people with undivided hearts. We want to build up the body of Christ by being focused on putting Jesus first in our one life. One Life. One life is all we’re given. The Old Testament aptly describes life on this earth as a vapor that quickly passes away. But I challenge you not to see life as simply our days on this Earth. In fact, the one life we are given is an eternal life. So, the sooner we begin to live for eternity with eternal purposes and goals motivating us, the sooner our lives will be aligned with God’s design for our lives - our one calling. One Calling. The text in Ephesians also deals with the importance of unity. One Mission Society believes that our one calling is to use our one life to honor and glorify our one Lord. Jesus, the Lamb of God, is worthy of our praise, honor and glory! We are committed to building up the body of Christ through a four-fold focus of evangelism, church planting, training of national leaders and partnerships.
