Devotionals

"God speaks to me most clearly through Scripture, especially through extended periods of daily reading and meditation on a particular biblical book. These writings reflect some of the "points to ponder" that the Holy Spirit has quickened in me over the past few years. Some are words of comfort; more often than not, however, they are places where the Spirit has "poked" me sharply with a challenge or a piercing question. They all represent points of growth in my life. My hope and prayer is that they will be windows of grace for you in your own journey with the Lord."
Rachel L. Coleman, author of the featured devotionals

Rachel Coleman serves on the One Mission Society Theological Education Team as a regional theological education consultant for Latin America, which includes the Caribbean. Rachel and her husband have served as missionaries in Ecuador and most recently at the OMS Asbury House (Asbury University) where they worked with students and faculty to promote OMS. Rachel also taught Spanish at Asbury University. Rachel has two master’s degrees; one in Spanish and one in Biblical Studies. Rachel has two children and does marriage enrichment workshops with her husband, Randy, as well as teaches intensives at schools and churches and leads short-term mission teams. She has been asked to contribute to the daily devotional on the Facebook page of the Francis Asbury Society (FAS). These devotions are drawn from her contributions to FAS and reflect her ability to combine what the text means with what the text says as she bridges the gap between the Bible and now.

Rachel is available for speaking engagements (preaching, women's retreats, missions conferences, etc.) and to teach/train in a variety of areas such as inductive Bible study, Old/New Testament courses, women's issues and discipleship. A favorite topics of Rachel's is to explore "What does it look like to live out the values and priorities of the kingdom of God?"
